Day 11: A-Z Barbie Craft Challenge-K-Kitchen

Today is day 11 of The A-Z craft challenge and I will be making a kitchen.

You will need:

  • Cardboard
  • Hot glue
  • Jumbo popsicle sticks
  • Paperboard
  • Black paper
  • Black permanent marker
  • Printer paper
  • Dcissors and/or X-acto knife
  • Paint
  • Ear bud container lid (clear)
  • Corner room (like the one made in the doll playroom post)

Step 1: First, start by cutting out pieces of cardboard as shown below to make the kitchen.7CE15CD5-856C-4482-85E5-C626978DB573

Step 2: Cover the cardboard with the paper of your choice (I chose white printer paper) but do not cover the counter top piece if you want to paint it like I did.

Step 3: Next, obtain paint and put dots onto the counter top and dab it with a tissue until the entire piece of cardboard is covered. Next, after the paint has completely dried, take a clear-dry glue and cover the top.  Then, add the top of an earbud container before the glue dries. This will be the sink.

Step 4: Now, take two jumbo popsicle sticks and cut off the rounded ends.  Glue them above the sink. These will be floating shelves.

Step 5: Cut four pieces of cardboard to make the range hood. Paint them any color you want.  I painted them grey to match the counter tops.  Then take the three smaller rectangle pieces and glue them together into a rectangular prism shape but with one side missing.  Glue onto the bottom of the rectangular prism, the longer piece of cardboard. Glue it onto the wall above the counter top.

Step 6: Cut out a square of paperboard and cover it with black paper. Next, draw 4-6 circles with a black permanent marker. This will be the stove. Glue it onto the counter top, underneath the range hood.

You are done!  Please be sure to like, comment, follow, and share with your friends, family, coworkers, and classmates.
