Day 2: A-Z Barbie Craft Challenge- B – Bed

Today is the 2nd day of the A-Z Barbie Craft Challenge.  Today, I will be making a Barbie doll bed. This is a very simple craft.  If you enjoy this craft, please like, comment, share, and follow.

Supplies Needed:

  • A long skinny box (mine is a pie crust box)
  • Hot glue
  • Fabric
  • Square wooden dowels
  • Stuffing
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Paint
  • Scissors
  • Paper

Step one: Cover the box with paper.

Step two: Cut your square wooden dowels to the the sizes below.

Step three: Glue the two shorter dowels onto one side and glue the longer wooden dowels onto the other side.

Step four: Cut and glue popsicle sticks between each of the wooden dowels.  These will become the head and foot boards.

Step five: Paint the wooden part of the bed a color that compliments the fabric that you chose.

Step six: Take two pieces of fabric, long enough to hang over the edges of the bed and lay them top side to top side.

Step seven: Glue three sides together and let it dry.

Step eight: When the glue is dry, flip the fabric right side out and glue the last side closed.  This will be the blanket for the bed.

Step nine: Do the same thing (steps 6-8) again, but with a much smaller piece of fabric.  Before you glue the last side closed, stuff it with stuffing.  This will be a pillow that matches the blanket.

You are done!  Be sure to like, comment, follow, and share with your friends, family, coworkers, and classmates.  What are some other crafts you would like us to do? Tell us in the comments below.
